Doyle Brunson is one of the best poker players in the world.  He is regarded by many as the best in the world.  He has proved that age is no factor in the poker player world.  He had his 75th birthday on August 10, 2008.

Many people refer to Doyle Brunson as the Legendary Doyle Brunson.  This name suits him because he is definitely a legend in the poker world.  He currently holds 10 World Series of Poker bracelets.  The number of WSOP bracelets that he holds falls behind only one player which is Phil Hellmuth.

Doyle Brunson wrote the Super System which is a must have for all aspiring poker players.  This book has in-depth strategy articles that will help all players improve their game.

Doyle Brunson has cashed in 43 major events.  He placed first in 12 of these 43 events.  He won the main event in the World Series of Poker in 1976 and 1977. Todd Brunson

Todd Brunson is the son of Doyle Brunson.  He was born August 7, 1969.  Everyone assumes that Todd Brunson has played poker since he was born because his father is Doyle Brunson, but this assumption is wrong.  Todd did not begin playing poker until he was in college.

Like his father, Todd soon learned that poker was a part of who he was.  He found that he understood the game well and was very good at it.  When he was 21 years old, he won his first major tournament: the $200,000 Diamond Jim Brady Tournament.  He has since cashed in several major tournaments including 13 cashes in the WSOP and 4 cashes in WPT events.

Todd Brunson prefers high stake cash games to tournament play.  He is known as one of the best High Stakes Cash game players in the world.  I am sure that Doyle Brunson was a little bit nervous when his son dropped out of college where he was pursuing a law-degree to following in his father’s footsteps as a poker player, but he doesn’t have to be nervous anymore.  Todd Brunson has proved that he belongs among the elite players in the poker world.
